Register case against your mother too: NC to Iltija Mufti

Srinagar, Dec 19: National Conference State Spokesperson Imran Nabi Dar Friday asked PDP leader Iltija Mufti, who registered a formal complaint seeking an FIR against Bihar CM Nitish Kumar, to also file an FIR against her mother Mehbooba Mufti “for the same crime she committed in 2004”.

A statement of NC issued here quoted Dar as saying, “Mufti’s outrage is selective and politically motivated. Justice must remain blind to personal and political ties. Selective outrage weakens the cause of women’s rights.”

He said: “For the cause of women’s rights in general, I implore you to file an FIR against your mother for the same crime committed in 2004.”
