Pahalgam, Aug 17: RP School, Lawaypora, clinched the overall title at the 3rd Open Kashmir Rope Skipping Championship, which concluded in Pahalgam after drawing more than 130 athletes from across the Valley.
As per a statement issued, the two-day sporting event witnessed the participation of over 130 athlete skippers from across the Kashmir Valley, showcasing their skills and stamina.
The valedictory ceremony was graced by the president of the Rope Skipping Association of J&K (RSAJK), Vilayat Hussain, along with physical education teachers from the participating schools, who distributed medals and certificates among the winners.
The championship was organised by the Rope Skipping Association of J&K under the aegis of the Indian Rope Skipping Federation (IRSF). Notably, several skippers who delivered extraordinary performances have been selected to represent J&K in the upcoming North Zone Rope Skipping Championship scheduled to be held in Punjab.
