Jammu, Jun 28: A delegation of Parliamentary Standing Committee (PSC) on Personnel, Public Grievances, Law and Justice led by BJP MP Brij Lal Saturday held deliberations with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) SMVDSB and other officials to assess public grievance redress system of the Board. Besides, the delegation reviewed the facilities being offered to the pilgrims. The panel members also visited Shri Mata Vaishno Devi shrine and paid obeisance there.
Earlier during the day, the panel head along with a few members reached Jammu on a three-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir.
After PSC delegation’s deliberations with the CEO, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) Anshul Garg and other officials in Katra in Reasi district, panel head Brij Lal responding to media queries said, “Though the scope of panel is quite exhaustive yet here our focus was public grievances only. I can see a lot of improvement in facilities here as compared to my last visit in 2023. We had good elaborate discussions with the CEO and other officials covering all aspects related to public grievances and the system in place to redress them. The content cannot be disclosed as we have to submit our report to the Parliament.”
