The School of Biotechnology, University of Jammu has invited applications from eligible candidates for one post of Project Associate-I in a research project sanctioned by the Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC) under the PACE scheme. The project focuses on optimizing a native Bacillus sp. strain-based biostimulant for saffron production in non-traditional areas of Jammu.

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must hold a Master’s Degree in Life Sciences or allied sciences. They should have experience in microbiological and molecular biology techniques including microbial culturing, DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, and spectrophotometry.

For candidates who have qualified CSIR-UGC NET, GATE, or a similar national-level exam, the salary will be Rs. 31,000 per month plus HRA. Others will be eligible for Rs. 25,000 per month plus HRA. The engagement is for one year and may be extended based on performance.
