SRINAGAR: Police in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal on Saturday launched a large-scale crackdown on Jammu Kashmir Nationals Operating from Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (JKNOP), targeting networks allegedly involved in subversive and anti-national activities.
Acting on credible intelligence inputs, the police carried out multiple Cordon and Search Operations (CASOs) at 60 locations across the district. The operations focused on individuals maintaining contact with relatives across the border who are suspected of facilitating, financing, and promoting terrorism in the region.
According to officials, several relatives and close associates of active JKNOP operatives were interrogated for their alleged role in providing logistical support, aiding recruitment, and spreading anti-national propaganda. A significant cache of digital gadgets and incriminating materials was seized during the raids and is currently being analysed for potential leads.
The police reaffirmed their determination to dismantle terror-support networks and bring all individuals aiding or abetting terrorism to justice.
Ganderbal Police stated that it remains committed to maintaining peace, stability, and the safety of residents in the district.
