Kupwara: A poclain engaged in construction work on the Srinagar-Kupwara four-lane highway was rescued late Tuesday night after remaining stuck in a trench for three days, officials said.
The machine had sunk into a deep trench at a worksite earmarked for substructure works at Natnussa area in Handwara. Despite continuous attempts, it remained immobilised until additional heavy machinery was pressed into service.

Officials said no injuries or damage to surrounding property were reported during the incident or the subsequent retrieval.
