PMVBRY gets strong push in J&K with EPFO–BSNL collaboration

Jammu, Aug 29: In a significant move to promote digital inclusion and employment-linked initiatives, the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), Jammu, and Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) have joined hands to push forward the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PMVBRY) in Jammu and Kashmir.

As part of this collaboration, BSNL’s General Manager, Mumtaz Ahmad, conducted a workshop at the EPFO office in Jammu to promote BSNL’s special “Azadi Ka Plan” at Rs 1.

The plan offers 2GB/day data, unlimited voice calls, 100 SMS/day for 30 days, along with a free SIM for new users, aimed at strengthening digital accessibility and affordable connectivity for citizens.

On the occasion, Regional Provident Fund Commissioner-I, Jammu, held discussions with Ahmad regarding the implementation of PMVBRY. The talks centered on creating greater awareness about the scheme and ensuring active participation of stakeholders to maximize its reach and benefits in the region.
