Jammu, September 7: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to visit flood-hit J&K soon to have an on the spot assessment of the situation.
More than fortnight long rains, cloudbursts, landslides and floods wreaked unprecedented havoc in the territory, particularly Jammu region .
According to a report in J&K’s reputed and leading newspaper, Greater Kashmir, the visit is likely soon , but the schedule has not been finalised as yet.
It may be recalled Home Minister Amit Shah had visited Jammu region for two days – August 31 and September 1 – and assessed the situation and assured all help from the Centre for the flood victims and reconstruction and restoration of infrastructure damaged during floods.
