PIA Balloon Found Near IB in Jammu Kashmir | Kashmir Life

SRINAGAR: A balloon resembling an aeroplane shape and bearing the marking “PIA” was found near the International Border in Samba district of Jammu Kashmir on Monday.

Official sources said that the yellow and white coloured balloon was noticed in the afternoon hours in village Chak Dyala, near the Basantar River Border Road close to a helipad in Sector Samba.

Soon after the sighting, security forces rushed to the spot and the area was cordoned off as a precautionary measure.

The balloon was taken into custody for examination, while necessary security protocols were initiated to rule out any potential threat.

They said further investigation is underway to ascertain the origin and purpose of the balloon. (KNC)
