PHE division Baramulla constitutes team of Nodal officers to address water crisis

Baramulla, June 25: The Public Health Engineering (PHE) Baramulla division has constituted a water crisis redressal group to address the public grievances regarding the availability of drinking water facilities.

The circular instructions in this regard have been issued by the Executive Engineer PHE division Baramulla, Er Aijaz Ahmad Batu to ensure efficient and timely redressal of water-related grievances.

As per the circular, a team of officers has been constituted who will serve as to identify, respond, and resolve water crisis situations in a coordinated and timely manner.

The officers include assistant executive engineer PHE sub division Baramulla, Assistant Engineer Pattan, Watergam and Kreeri sub divisions.

The officers have been entrusted to develop SOPs for crises management as applicable in their sub divisions.

“The officers will monitor daily basis performance of the field staff of their respective sub divisions and recommend any negligent behavior of any employee for suspension,” the order reads.

It further reads that the concerned nodal officers of their respective division shall ensure improved citizen satisfaction, transparency and accountability during redressal of grievances by him and his subordinate staff.

“The nodal officer will escalate complex issues, if needed, to higher authorities for their timely resolution,” the order reads.

The officer will inform general public in advance in case of scheme breakdown or non-availability of water.

“The officers will Promote task force teams to seize online boosters. Besides, Nodal officer Er Fahad Javid Qazi shall create a WhatsApp group of five nodal officers including the executive engineer PHE Baramulla where in every Nodal officer shall post the pre and post status of the grievances with geo-tagged evidence & submit action taken report,” the order reads.
