PGCIL Apprentice Recruitment 2025 Apply Online For 866 Vacancies Across India

Power Grid Corporation of India Limited has released a notification for 866 Apprentice vacancies in different trades. The online registration for the Apprentice positions will be open from 15 September 2025 to 6 October 2025. Candidates can apply through the official portal after completing registration on NATS or NAPS.

PGCIL is a Maharatna PSU under the Ministry of Power. The apprenticeship program offers training opportunities for ITI, Diploma, Graduate and Postgraduate candidates. The training period is for one year and apprentices will receive a monthly stipend ranging between Rs 13,500 and Rs 17,500 depending on qualification level. The minimum age to apply is 18 years.

Applications are invited from candidates who have completed their qualifications in the last two years. Those awaiting results, already undergone apprenticeship, or having more than one year of work experience are not eligible. The selection will be based on merit followed by document verification.

Vacancy Details:
This notification aims to fill 866 Apprentice posts across India. Some major state wise vacancy numbers include Uttar Pradesh 98, West Bengal 55, Odisha 57, Assam 42, Gujarat 73, Maharashtra 60, Karnataka 49, Tamil Nadu 49, Kerala 18, Andhra Pradesh 34, Telangana 37, Punjab 24, Himachal Pradesh 10 and Jammu and Kashmir with Ladakh 32. Vacancies are also available in other regions.

Eligibility Criteria:
Educational qualifications required are ITI in Electrician trade for ITI apprentices, full time diploma in Electrical or Civil for diploma apprentices, full time BE, B Tech or BSc in relevant discipline for graduate apprentices, MBA or PG Diploma in HR for HR executive, graduate with LLB for law executive, MSW or Rural Development or Management for CSR executive and BA in Hindi with English proficiency for Rajbhasha assistant. Candidates must hold qualifications from a recognized institution. The minimum age is 18 years and the maximum age will be as per Apprenticeship Act rules.

How to Apply:
Candidates who are eligible can apply online through the official website powergrid.in. They must first register on NATS for degree and diploma or NAPS for ITI, HR, Law, CSR and Rajbhasha. After registration, they should update their profile, upload documents and complete the application form.

Selection Process:
The selection will be based on marks obtained in the qualifying examination. Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification in the ratio of one to five. Selected candidates will also need to provide medical fitness certificates and sign a contract on the apprenticeship portal.

Selected apprentices will receive monthly stipend. ITI apprentices will get Rs 13,500. Diploma apprentices in Electrical or Civil will get Rs 15,000 which includes DBT share. Graduate engineering apprentices will get Rs 17,500 which includes DBT share. HR, Law, CSR and Rajbhasha apprentices will also get Rs 17,500. An HRA of Rs 2500 per month may be given if accommodation is not provided.
