Pedestrian killed, another injured after being hit by motorcycle in Ganderbal

Ganderbal, Mar 20: A pedestrian was killed and another person injured after a motorcycle hit him in the Lar area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Friday.

Officals said that the motorcycle, ridden by Irfan Ahmad Mir, a resident of Waliwar, struck the pedestrian, identified as Ghulam Hassan Teli of Lar, resulting in his on-the-spot death, they said.

The pillion rider, Arshid Ahmad of Waliwar, sustained injuries in the incident and was shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile Police have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated further investigation, they added.—(KNC)
