Peace Restored in Kashmir After Decades, Says LG Sinha

SRINAGAR: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday said that peace has been restored in Jammu Kashmir after decades, stressing the need to preserve it through collective efforts.

Reflecting on recent developments in the Union Territory, Sinha stated that the people of Jammu Kashmir have witnessed significant positive change over the past five to six years. “In these five to six years, the people of Jammu Kashmir have seen paradise again after decades,” he said.

He emphasised the importance of maintaining peace and responding to external threats. “We have to continue this journey so that the evil intentions of the neighbouring country can be answered,” Sinha added, stressing the need for accountability to prevent any disruption to progress.

“The absence of accountability must be addressed. Only then will we be able to carry out the necessary actions,” he said.
