Pained over blatant act of Ayatollah Khamenei’s killing: MMU

Srinagar, Mar 1: Mutahida Majlis-e-Ulama (MMU), the largest conglomerate of Islamic religious organisations in J&K, has in a joint statement expressed profound grief and condemnation over the assassination of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Syed Ali Khamenei, describing it as a “blatant act of aggression.”

“In this hour of immense grief , the people of J&K stand in heartfelt solidarity with the leadership and people of Iran,” it said.

According to a statement issued here , Members of MMU including Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Mufti Azam Nasir-ul-Islam, Maulana Muhammad Rahmatullah Qasmi, Aga Syed Hasan Al-Mousavi Al-Safvi, Dr. Adil Latif Al-Kandi, Aga Syed Muhammad Hadi, Maulana Masroor Abbas Ansari, and others termed these developments as deeply disturbing,warning that “such reckless acts of aggression threaten to further destabilise the region and endanger global peace.”

MMU includes major religious, social, and educational organisations such as Anjuman Auqaf Jamia Masjid, Muslim Personal Law Board, Darul Uloom Rahimiyah, Anjuman Shariee Shian, Jamiat Ahle Hadith, Karwan-e-Islami and others.
