Over 70 JK Stakeholders Participate in 3-Day TTF Ahmedabad

SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Thursday inaugurated the Travel & Tourism Fair (TTF) at the Mahatma Mandir Convention and Exhibition Centre in Gandhinagar, inviting travellers to visit JK and explore its diverse offerings across all seasons.

JK is participating in Gujarat’s largest travel trade show with over 70 stakeholders, joining more than 900 exhibitors and international representatives from Sri Lanka. The three-day event, which runs from July 31 to August 2, is expected to attract over 12,500 trade professionals and visitors from across India.

The JK pavilion is drawing wide attention for showcasing a mix of adventure, pilgrimage, heritage, off-beat destinations, film, and golf tourism. The participation is part of a broader effort to expand J&K’s tourism footprint and enhance inter-state travel exchange, especially with Gujarat.

On the sidelines of the fair, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah met Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel in Gandhinagar to discuss cooperation on tourism and inclusive development.

The event also featured participation from key officials including Dheeraj Gupta, Additional Chief Secretary to the CM; Dr Ashish Chandra Verma, Additional Chief Secretary, JK Tourism; Raja Yaqoob, Director Tourism Kashmir; Shreya Singhal, MD JKTDC; and Vikas Gupta, Director Tourism Jammu.

Other attendees included Gujarat’s Minister of Tourism Mulubhai Bera; Rajender Kumar, Secretary Tourism, Government of Gujarat; Prabhav Joshi, Commissioner of Tourism & MD, Tourism Corporation of Gujarat Ltd; Kuldipsinh S Jhala, Joint Managing Director, TCGL; Nasir Aslam Wani, Advisor to the JK CM; Altaf Ahmad Wani, MLA Pahalgam; and Farooq Ahmad Shah, MLA Gulmarg.
