Over 18,000 Candidates Appear for Nursing Diploma Exam in Jammu Kashmir | Kashmir Life

SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Nursing Council, in collaboration with the erstwhile JK Paramedical Council, on Sunday successfully conducted diploma examinations in nursing and allied healthcare streams across the Union Territory, witnessing participation of 18,040 candidates.

According to the details, the examinations were held at 31 centres across Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh, including 17 centres in Kashmir Division and 14 in Jammu Division, with a dedicated centre also established at Central Jail Srinagar for a single candidate following a formal request.

Out of the total candidates, 8,720 appeared from Kashmir Division, 9,277 from Jammu Division, and 43 from Ladakh, while 33 papers across 15 streams were conducted during the examination process.

The smooth and organised conduct of the exams underscores the councils’ commitment to maintaining academic standards and enhancing professional training in the nursing and allied healthcare sectors. (KNC)
