SRINAGAR: The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) is going to develop a special classroom module on Operation Sindoor to help students learn about India’s defence strategy and diplomatic response, as per several media reports.
The content will be structured in two segments; one for students in classes 3 to 8, and another designed for those in classes 9 to 12.
Media reports suggest that, the module will be around 8 to 10 pages long and will explore India’s strategic military action in response to Pahalgam attack, which resulted in the deaths of 26 civilians. The goal is to help students grasp how a nation addresses terror threats, highlighting the roles of defense operations, diplomatic channels, and inter-ministerial coordination in safeguarding national security.
The NCERT module will provide a factual overview of Operation Sindoor, covering key aspects like the role of the Indian Armed forces, decision-making process amid terror threats, and wider implications for diplomacy and regional stability.
Operation Sindoor was launched by India to dismantle terror bases operating across the Line of Control and within Pakistani territory.
