SRINAGAR: Two constables from Jammu and Kashmir Police won gold medals at the World Police and Fire Games recently held in the United States.
Constables Beniya Ameen and Ishaaq Ahmad secured gold in their respective weight categories, earning international recognition for their performance.

Chief Minister Omar Abdullah congratulated the two athletes in a post on X, saying, “Congratulations to Constable Beniya Ameen and Constable Ishaaq Ahmad who both won gold medals in their respective weight categories at the World Police and Fire Games held recently in the United States of America. Well done to both of them for bringing laurels to their force, to J&K & to the nation.”
Competing against elite athletes from global law enforcement and emergency services, the duo, Bania Ameen and Ishaaq, displayed exceptional skill and determination to claim top honors in their categories.
Bania won gold in the 95 kg category, while Ishaaq secured the top spot in the 125 Kg category.
The World Police and Fire Games is an international sporting event featuring participants from law enforcement and fire service agencies across the globe.
