National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC) has released a detailed advertisement for the recruitment of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) posts. A total of 13 posts are available across different research projects under JRF25 to JRF28 categories.

As per the official NRSC notification, the maximum age limit for JRF positions is 28 years for UR/EWS candidates, 31 years for OBC, and 33 years for SC/ST. Candidates selected will receive a monthly stipend of ₹37,000 with the possibility of enhancement to ₹42,000 after two years based on performance review. The selection will be made through an interview process based on screening of applications.

Interested candidates fulfilling all eligibility criteria can apply online at the NRSC website www.nrsc.gov.in from June 21, 2025, to July 11, 2025. The application fee is ₹250 and will be refunded to eligible women, SC/ST, PwBD, and ex-servicemen candidates who participate in the selection process. Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualifications
Candidates must possess a B.Tech/M.Tech or Master’s degree with minimum 65% marks or equivalent CGPA (6.84 on 10-point scale), or an M.E./M.Tech with minimum 60% marks or CGPA of 6.5. All degrees must be from institutions recognized by AICTE/UGC or equivalent authority. Only passed out candidates are eligible. Candidates who obtained their degrees via open and distance learning are not eligible.

Age Limit
Maximum age for UR/EWS candidates is 28 years, for OBC 31 years, and for SC/ST 33 years. Relaxation will be provided as per Government norms for PwBD and Ex-Servicemen upon submission of valid certificates.

Other Requirements
GATE/NET qualification is mandatory for JRF25 to JRF28 posts. All certificates must be uploaded in the specified format during online application.

How to Apply:
Applicants who meet the eligibility criteria are encouraged to apply through the NRSC official portal www.nrsc.gov.in between June 21 and July 11, 2025.

Application Fee:
The application fee for each post is ₹250 (non-refundable). However, this fee will be refunded to women, SC/ST, PwBD, and ex-servicemen candidates who satisfy eligibility and participate in the selection process. Refunds will be made only to the bank account specified by the candidate in the application form.

Selection Process:
The selection of candidates will be based on application screening followed by an interview. Shortlisted candidates will be informed via email. No communication will be made to candidates who are not shortlisted. The final list of shortlisted candidates will be available on the NRSC website.
