
Kupwara, Mar 26: The first phase of the North Kashmir Volleyball Premier League 2025–26 concluded successfully at Hanga in Handwara, with six teams competing and several promising players identified for the upcoming Phase II at Bandipora.
The North Kashmir Volleyball Premier League 2025–26 (Phase I) was organised at Boys High School Hangah Handwara by the Army’s Langate Camp.
A total of six teams from different areas, including Langate, Chogul, Rafiabad, and Sopore, competed in the first phase.
The aim of the event was to identify emerging players and provide them opportunities to compete at higher levels, including district and state competitions.
Matches were conducted in a well-organised and disciplined manner, maintaining a competitive yet friendly atmosphere throughout the tournament. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from players and strong support from the local community.
The league showcased notable skill, teamwork, and sportsmanship, with several promising players identified based on their performances. “These selected players will be given an opportunity to participate in Phase II of the tournament, scheduled to be held at Sher-e-Kashmir Stadium, Bandipora,” said an official.
