No Militants at Palm Island Mall, Say Jammu Police | Kashmir Life

SRINAGAR: Jammu police on Wednesday dismissed reports circulating on social media about the presence of three militants at Palm Island Mall, terming them baseless and misleading, while assuring that thorough verification at the site found no suspicious activity.

Police spokesperson said, Some social media accounts /portals are reporting regarding presence of 03 militants at Palm Island Mall.

These reports are baseless as the Police Parties are on the spot and nothing suspicious found after verification, police said.

General public advised not to pay heed to rumours and media houses requested to avoid spreading rumours and behave responsibily as such unverifiable news items lead to unnecessary panic.

Necessary legal action will be initiated against social media accounts/portals for such irresponsible reporting, police said. (KNC)
