NLCO chairman lauds J&K Cricket team for historic win

Srinagar, Feb 18: Chairman of the Nigeen Lake Conservation Organisation, Manzoor Wangnoo, on Wednesday congratulated the J&K cricket team for their historic win in the Ranji Trophy semifinal and their qualification for the finals in the tournament.

In a statement issued, Jammu and Kashmir created sporting history on Wednesday by qualifying for the Ranji Trophy final for the first time, defeating hosts and two-time champions Bengal by six wickets in a dramatic semifinal encounter.

The landmark victory has triggered celebrations across the Union Territory and drawn widespread appreciation from political leaders, sports bodies, and the public.

Congratulating the team on this historic achievement, Manzoor Wangnoo, Chairman, Nigeen Lake Conservation Organisation, as per a statement issued said the victory reflects the grit, discipline, and rising potential of J&K’s youth. He termed the win a wonderful moment for the entire J&K and an inspiration for aspiring sportspersons.

“The J&K team’s journey in this year’s Ranji Trophy has been marked by resilience and consistent performances against seasoned sides, culminating in a semifinal triumph that will be remembered as a turning point in the region’s cricketing history.” Wangnoo added.
