NIT Srinagar Invites Applications For Teaching Positions In Civil, IT And English Departments, Monthly Salary 65,000

National Institute of Technology Srinagar has released a notification inviting applications from eligible Indian nationals for engagement as Temporary Teaching Staff in Civil Engineering, Information Technology, and Humanities, Social Sciences & Management (English) departments. A total of 5 vacancies are available for this appointment.

As per the notification, the engagement is purely temporary for a period of 11 months. Selected candidates will be paid a fixed monthly remuneration of ₹65,000. Applicants must have first class in both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees, with Ph.D. in the relevant field. Candidates with a direct Ph.D after B.Tech are also eligible to apply for the mentioned positions.

Interested candidates meeting the eligibility criteria must send their application or bio-data in the prescribed format along with scanned copies of certificates to the respective department email ID before 20 August 2025. Applications sent through any mode other than the specified email will not be considered. Reservation distribution is tentative and may change as per availability.

Vacancy Details:
The Civil Engineering department has 1 post for UR category. The Information Technology department has 3 posts, out of which 2 are for UR and 1 for OBC category. The Humanities, Social Sciences & Management department (English) has 1 UR post.

Eligibility Criteria:
For Civil Engineering, candidates must have B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering and M.E./M.Tech with Ph.D. For Information Technology, candidates must have B.E./B.Tech in IT or Computer Science Engineering and M.E./M.Tech with Ph.D. For Humanities, Social Sciences & Management (English), candidates must have a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in English with Ph.D. All candidates must have first class in Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. Candidates with direct Ph.D after B.Tech are also eligible.

Selection Process:
Selection will be made after scrutiny of applications and an interview process as decided by the institute. The institute reserves the right to limit the number of candidates called for interview.
