NIT Srinagar Invites Application For Research Assistant Post Under JKST&IC Project

National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar has issued an advertisement inviting applications from eligible candidates for a post of Research Assistant. The position is under the JKST&IC-sponsored project titled “Effect of Laser Surface texturing on the biodegrability of zinc-based implant material”.

As per the notification issued by the Department of Mechanical Engineering, the position is purely temporary and will be for a duration of six months, subject to performance and conduct. The upper age limit is 35 years. The selected candidate will receive a consolidated monthly salary of ₹20,000.

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates must have a B.Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 65% marks or equivalent. The upper age limit is 35 years. Prior knowledge of surface texturing or surface modification will be preferred. Candidates who have completed a project or internship in the relevant area may also be given preference. Basic knowledge of materials and manufacturing is expected.
