NIFT Srinagar Group-B Posts, Check Vacancy Details And Apply By 5 July

The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) Srinagar has issued an official advertisement inviting applications for Group-B posts. These positions are being offered on a short-term contract basis and are to be filled at the Srinagar campus located at SIDCO Industrial Estate, Ompora Budgam, J&K. As per the advertisement, eligible candidates can apply for the posts of Assistant Director, Senior Assistant (Finance & Accounts), and Junior Translation Officer.

Selected candidates will receive a fixed monthly remuneration depending on the post. The appointment is purely temporary and for a fixed duration only. Interested candidates should submit the hard copy of the filled application form along with CV and supporting documents to the Career & Recruitment Section of NIFT Srinagar before 5 July 2025. Applications must be submitted in person or by post.

Eligibility Criteria:
Below, we have summarized the required eligibility criteria, such as qualification, age limit, experience, etc. Candidates are advised to review the eligibility criteria before applying for any post mentioned in the notification.

For Assistant Director, candidates must have rendered at least five years of service in level 6 or above with relevant experience in purchase, establishment, admission, or administrative procedures.
For Senior Assistant (Finance & Accounts), a postgraduate degree in Commerce / ICWA / CS / CA with two years of experience in finance and accounts is required.
For Junior Translation Officer, candidates must hold a Master’s degree in Hindi with English or vice versa as a compulsory or elective subject at the degree level, or in any subject with Hindi and English as mediums or compulsory subjects. Equivalent educational standards apply across various combinations as stated in the official notification.

How to Apply:
Applicants who meet the eligibility criteria are encouraged to submit their hard copy application form along with CV, passport size photo, and supporting documents to the Career & Recruitment Section, 3rd Floor, NIFT Srinagar Campus, SIDCO Industrial Complex, Ompora Budgam-191111, J&K by or before 5 July 2025.

Application fee: The candidates are required to pay Rs 500/- (For UR and OBC) on account of Application Fee through Demand Draft favouring NIFT Srinagar. Further, candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD/Ex-servicemen and female applicants are exempted from application fee.

Syllabus & Examination Scheme:
The written test (comprising of 50 MCQs) of eligible candidates to above mentioned posts shall be held at NIFT Srinagar Campus SIDCO Industrial Complex, Ompura Budgam-191111, J&K. Date of commencement of examination shall be informed separately. However, syllabus for written test of each post is attached as Annexure-III.
