National Informatics Centre has released a short notification for recruitment to the post of Scientist B. The recruitment is being conducted for Group A Gazetted posts under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.

A total of 243 vacancies are announced for eligible Engineering and Science graduates. Selection will be based on valid GATE scores and interview. Candidates with GATE scores of 2024, 2025 or 2026 can apply once the detailed notification is released.

Eligibility Criteria of NIC Scientist B Vacancies

Age relaxation is applicable as per Government rules. SC and ST candidates get 5 years relaxation. OBC candidates get 3 years relaxation. PwBD candidates get up to 10 years relaxation.

Selection Process

The selection process consists of shortlisting based on GATE score followed by an interview. Final selection will be based on combined performance in GATE score and interview as per NIC norms.

Salary Details

Selected candidates will be appointed in Pay Level 10. The pay scale ranges from Rs. 56,100 to Rs. 1,77,500 along with applicable government allowances.
