SRINAGAR: National Investigation Agency on Monday said it carried out searches across several locations in Jammu and Kashmir and Uttar Pradesh in connection with the Delhi car bomb blast case, claiming to have seized digital devices and what it described as incriminating material.

In a statement, the agency said eight locations were searched in Shopian, Kulgam, Pulwama and Awantipora, along with one location in Lucknow. The searches were carried out at the premises of the accused and suspects linked to the November 10 blast outside the Red Fort that killed eleven people and injured several others.

The agency said it had previously conducted searches on November 26 and 27 at the premises of the prime accused, Dr Muzammil Shakeel Ganie and Dr Shaheen Saeed, inside the Al Falah University complex and elsewhere in Faridabad, during which cash, foreign currency, gold and other material were seized. It said the items were being examined to establish the conspiracy behind the attack.

Seven people have so far been arrested in the case, the NIA said, adding that questioning of the accused is underway while investigators continue to pursue additional leads.

The agency said it was working with state police forces to identify and arrest all members of the group allegedly involved in the blast. (GNS)
