Need central probe into dying holy fish in south Kashmir’s Mattan: AIKS

Srinagar, Dec 27: All India Kashmiri Samaj Regd (AIKS) has written to Cabinet minister for Fisheries & Animal Husbandry, Rajiv Ranjan Singh to depute experts to find a solution to inauspicious dying of large number of holy fish in ponds of Mattan Martand in Anantnag.

As per a press release, the recent unprecedented dying of fishes has worried Kashmiris, irrespective of religions, all over the world.

Though district administration has started some action on ground but  experts are needed to work in tandem with local experts to find an everlasting solution so that such an incident doesn’t recur in future, it added. “We have written to MoS PMO, Hon’ble LG and Chief Secretary also for their intervention,” said AIKS President, Ravinder Pandita in a press release. He demanded an impartial probe into the matter to ascertain the causes leading to this calamity, he added.
