Jammu, Jul 11: Jammu and Kashmir Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) vice-president, J&K BJP and MLA Jammu North Sham Lal Sharma Friday accused the National Conference (NC) Government of ignoring public woes and not addressing even the basic issues of power, water, damaged roads and drains.
He stated this while responding to the grievances of the people from various parts of the region during a public darbar at the party headquarters in Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
Sham Lal Sharma expressed serious concern over the mismanagement of the Flood Control Department, especially after the recent heavy rains that led to widespread havoc including damaged roads and infrastructure, particularly near drains and khads.
He further criticized the ongoing power crisis in the region, pointing out that people were suffering due to frequent and unrelenting electricity cuts during peak summer and the rainy season.
