Multiple Districts to Face Planned Power Outages This Week: KPDCL

SRINAGAR: Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has issued a schedule of planned power outages across various parts of the Valley for maintenance and upgradation works over the next several days.

According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, shutdown of the 132/33 KV Grid Substation Amargarh will be observed on November 23, resulting in disruptions in Panzipora, Tarzoo, Hygam, Shair Colony, Arampora, Mahrajpora, Bugoo, Police Station, ADC Watlab, Hathlangoo, Warpora, Dooru, Shiva, Tujjar, Sharief, Shrian, Nowpora, Mazbugh, Reban, Achabal, Doabgah, Ferozpora, Panzulla, Shutloo, Chakloo, Ladoora, Nadihal, Gurseer, Pethseer, PHE, Fruit Mandi, LIS, Dangiwachi, Hachipora and adjoining areas from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. The shutdown will extend to Hadipora, Watrigam, Hachipora, Safalpora, Ganapora, Nowpora, Achbal, Seelu, Bomai, Seer, Chakloo, Ruhama and LIS Ludoora from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm the same day.

Similarly, shutdown of the 132 KV double-circuit Budgam–Chadoora transmission line on November 22 will cut supply to Wathoora, Chadoora, Panzan, Rangar, Sogam, Nagam, Badipora, Hafroo, Lolipora, Hayatpora, Kakawring, Tilsera, Charar-e-Sharief, Nagbal, Darwan, Yousmarg and adjoining areas from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.

On November 23, shutdown of the 33 KV Grid Station Kulgam will affect Chambgund, Ahmadabad, Khul, Aharbal, Yaripora, Behibagh, Nillow, Rambhama, DH Pora, Nagam, Redwani, Kulgam, Sangus, Mohammadpora, DK Marg, Devsar, Pahloo, Gasran, Ashmuji, Chawalgam, Kilam, Devsar and nearby locations from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Further shutdowns have been scheduled on the 33 KV Watrehail Tap line, affecting Watrehail, Samsaan, the PHE Substation and Parthan on November 26 and 29 from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm.

Shutdown of the 33 KV Bemina–JVC line on November 25 will impact supply to JVC Hospital, Children’s Hospital, State Motor Garage, Hajj House, Forensic Lab, PC Depot, Qamarwari, Barthana and adjoining areas from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.

The 33 KV Bemina–Fatehkadal line will remain affected on November 23, 26 and 30 from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm, impacting Bishember Nagar, Babademb, Gousia Hospital, Bohrikadal, Nowpora, KK Mohalla, Barbarshah and surrounding localities.

Likewise, shutdowns on November 25 and 30 will hit Yangpora, Baroosa, Old Dab, Cheki Baba Salun, Sainik School, Rabitar, Kondbal, GCET Safapora, Lar, Waliwar, Watlar, Repora, Tulmulla, Dangerpora, Theeru, Larsun and adjoining areas from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm.

In Pulwama areas, the 33 KV Pampore–Pulwama line will be shut down on November 24, 27 and 30 from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm, affecting Kakapora, Newa, Pahoo, Nehama, Zadoora, Gudoora, Parigam and nearby localities.

Additionally, Model Town, Kapra, Essential, Noorbagh and adjoining areas will face outages on November 23 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm due to shutdown of the 33 KV Sidiq Colony Tap line.

KPDCL has urged consumers to cooperate during the scheduled shutdowns, stating that the temporary disruptions are necessary to ensure improved reliability of supply in the coming winter months.
