MP Ruhullah Mehdi Meets Railway Minister on Budgam Projects | Kashmir Life

SRINAGAR: Member Parliament from central kashmir Ruhullah Mehdi met Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Wednesday during the Parliament session to follow up on key demands for Budgam, including the operation of the Vande Bharat Express from Budgam Railway Station, increasing its coach capacity, and construction of two railway crossings at Sheikhpora and Galwanpora.

The Railway Minister assured that the project report for the two railway crossings is underway and that work will commence once it is completed. He further confirmed that a technical assessment for operating the Vande Bharat Express from Budgam will be conducted shortly, and plans to increase the train’s coach capacity are also in progress.

MP Ruhullah Mehdi’s office stated that it will continue to pursue these issues to ensure timely execution of the projects and improved connectivity for the Budgam region.
