Srinagar, Jul 11: Member of Parliament, Ghulam Ali Khatana, held a public darbar at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Headquarters in Jawahar Nagar, Srinagar, where he met with numerous delegations, local citizens, and party workers.
A statement of the BJP issued here said that the participants raised a broad spectrum of public issues, including development bottlenecks, infrastructural deficiencies, and employment-related concerns.
During the interactive session, MP Khatana listened to the grievances and assured the public that appropriate action would be taken by raising the matters with the concerned departments.
The outreach programme is part of the BJP’s ongoing initiative to deepen grassroots-level engagement and promote transparent and responsive governance.
Speaking to media persons after the conclusion of the Darbar, MP Khatana launched a sharp attack on the National Conference (NC) and the Congress, alleging that both parties had, for decades, misled the people of Jammu and Kashmir with diversionary narratives.
“NC and Congress have made non-sensitive issues appear sensitive just to stay politically relevant. Instead of leading the people towards development, they deliberately kept the region trapped in confusion and backwardness,” he said.
