MLA Lolab Reviews Situation Amid Heavy Snowfall, Directs Departments to Remain on High Alert – Alfaaz – The Words

Kupwara: Amid continued snowfall across the region, MLA Lolab Qaysar Jamshaid Lone on Friday said he is closely monitoring the situation and coordinating with concerned departments to ensure prompt response.

In a statement issued to Alfaaz – The Words, Lone said he remains in constant touch with line departments to facilitate timely snow clearance, restoration of electricity, and uninterrupted water supply. He added that while main roads have been kept operational, efforts are underway to clear inner and link roads to restore normal movement.

The MLA further directed the authorities to assess damage caused by strong winds and snowfall and to take immediate steps for relief and necessary repairs wherever required.

Lone emphasized that all departments have been instructed to remain on high alert and address public grievances on a priority basis.
