MLA Lolab Qaysar Jamsheed Lone Visits Machil; Reviews Essential Supplies, Winter Preparedness – Alfaaz – The Words

Kupwara: MLA Lolab Qaysar Jamsheed Lone on Wednesday conducted an extensive tour of the border block Machill to assess the availability of essential commodities and review winter preparedness across key departments.

Lone inspected the PHC Dudi, where he checked hygiene conditions, staff attendance and interacted briefly with patients and medical officers. He directed the health staff to maintain strict cleanliness and ensure round-the-clock availability of essential services.

At the Receiving Station Machill, officials informed him about damage to a power panel. Lone instructed the PDD to replace it on priority, assuring support from his Constituency Development Fund.

At Tehsil headquarters, the MLA chaired a meeting with district and sectoral officers of R&B, PMGSY, PHE, Health, Fisheries, ICDS, Social Welfare and Rural Development. Officers briefed him that adequate stocks of rice, atta and sugar are available for the winter months. He stressed uninterrupted road clearance during snowfall and directed engineers to keep men and machinery stationed in the area.

Reviewing the power scenario, Lone was told that Machill currently receives 12-hour scheduled supply. He sought additional buffer transformers to avoid outages during peak winter. On water supply, he urged the PHE department to connect uncovered habitations and assured administrative support.

The MLA also took stock of progress under various developmental sectors and instructed officers to address public grievances without delay.

Later, Lone inaugurated the newly constructed playground at Machill and asked the RDD to upgrade it into a full-fledged stadium. He also inaugurated a newly built government quarter in the area.
