MLA Kupwara Mir Mohammad Fayaz Reviews SDH Preparedness Ahead of Fresh Snowfall – Alfaaz – The Words

Kupwara: Amid forecasts of fresh snowfall in the district, MLA Kupwara Mir Mohammad Fayaz on Saturday visited the Sub-District Hospital (SDH), Kupwara, to assess the preparedness of the health facility and ensure uninterrupted medical services during the winter period.

During the visit, the legislator reviewed the availability of doctors and paramedical staff, essential medicines, heating arrangements, power backup, ambulance services and other basic facilities.

He interacted with the hospital administration and stressed the need for round-the-clock readiness to handle emergencies during adverse weather conditions.

Mir Mohammad Fayaz directed the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Kupwara to ensure that all necessary arrangements are put in place well in advance so that patients do not face inconvenience during snowfall. He emphasised strict staff attendance, functional ambulance services and strengthening of emergency care.

The MLA assured the patients and their attendants that the health department has been instructed to remain on high alert and take all requisite measures to safeguard patient care throughout the winter.

Hospital authorities on the occasion also briefed the MLA concerned on the existing arrangements and assured full compliance with the directions issued.

Patients and attendants in the meantime welcomed the visit, expressing hope that the proactive measures would help ensure smooth delivery of healthcare services during the winter season.
