Srinagar, Jan 12: Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Monday expressed grief and sorrow over the passing away of Pandit Bhushan Bazaz, the son of legendary Pandit Prem Nath Bazaz.
Notably, Prem Nath Bazaz was a prominent Kashmiri intellectual, writer, and political thinker, remembered for his views on Kashmir’s social and political questions
Mirwaiz called Bhushan a ” true upholder of Kashmiri ethics”. Adding, Mirwaiz said that “his sincere love, warmth, and affection will always stay with me”.
In a post on X, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq wrote, “Deeply saddened by the passing of Pandit Bhushan Bazaz, son of legendary Pandit Prem Nath Bazaz. A dear friend of my father, Bhushan Uncle was a father-like presence in my life. A true upholder of Kashmiri ethics, his sincere love, warmth, and affection will always stay with me. His passing is a great personal loss to me and the family. My deepest Condolences to his son Kalhan and the Bazaz family.”
