According to an order, issued in reference to a letter from the Registrar General of the High Court, a copy of which lies with Alfaaz – The Words, the appointments have been made under Rule 20 of the J&K Higher Judicial Service Rules, 2009.
The judicial officers appointed as District Judges (Entry Level) on an adhoc basis include; Mir Wajahat, Aadil Mushtaq, Fozia Paul, Mehreen Mushtaq, Feroz Ahmad Khan, Imran Hussain Wani, Preet Simran Kour, Fayaz Ahmad Qureshi, Umesh Sharma, and Sheikh Gowhar Hussain.
The order states that the adhoc appointments shall remain valid for six months or until regular selection or appointment is made, whichever occurs earlier.
It further clarifies that these temporary appointments will not confer any right to seniority or superior claim over those selected through regular recruitment under the Direct or Limited Competitive Examination (LCE) quota.
The officers, as per the order, will be reverted to their parent cadre once regular appointments are finalized, unless vacancies exist in their respective categories.
