Minor Girl’s Body Recovered By Roadside in G’bl; Probe Launched to Identify Culprits, SSP Khalil Poswal – Alfaaz – The Words

Srinagar: Body of a minor girl was recovered in suspicious circumstances along the Batsar–Sehpora road in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district, officials said on Sunday.

They told Alfaaz – The Words, that police teams reached the spot soon, and took possession of the body. “The area was accordingly secured while initial evidence was collected from the scene.”

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ganderbal, Khalil Poswal, who himself visited the bereaved family, said that a comprehensive investigation has been initiated into the incident. “A probe has been launched as we are looking into all possible angles. The culprits, once identified, will be brought to justice in accordance with law,” he assured the aggrieved family.

Officials in the meantime added that the body has been taken to a nearby hospital for necessary medico-legal formalities.

The incident has caused widespread shock in the locality, even as the family assuring full cooperation to the law enforcement agencies.
