Jammu, Jul 3: Police in Jammu Thursday stated to have cracked multiple theft cases with the arrest of 13 accused, including a minor and recovery of stolen property worth over Rs 27 lakh in City South (zone).
The seized properties included gold, diamond jewellery; copper wires and vehicles.
“In a significant breakthrough, Jammu Police South zone, under the supervision of SSP Jammu, successfully cracked six theft cases including two snatching cases and one theft case of vital BSNL telecom infrastructure through the tireless efforts of teams of Police Station Gandhi Nagar and Police Post Digiana within a time period of two and a half months, leading to the arrest of 13 accused, including one minor, and the recovery of stolen property worth more than Rs 27 lakh,” said SP City South, Ajay Sharma, while addressing a press conference on Thursday evening.
