Militant Hideout Busted, Arms, Explosives Seized

SRINAGAR: Security forces on Wednesday busted a militant hideout in Gulgam forest area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, recovering arms, ammunition, and other war-like stores.

Official sources said that during a joint operation by the Army’s Chinar Warriors and Kupwara Police, a search was conducted in the dense Gulgam forest following credible inputs about militant activity.

“During the search, one pistol, explosives, ammunition, and a large quantity of other war-like stores were recovered from the hideout,” they said.

They said that cognisance has been taken and further investigation initiated. (KNC)
