
SRINAGAR: The Meteorological Department has predicted light rain and thundershowers at scattered places across Jammu and Kashmir over the next two days, along with a gradual increase in daytime temperatures during the coming week.
An official from the MeT Centre Srinagar said brief spells of light rain or thundershowers are likely at scattered locations on April 9 and 10, with chances of isolated hailstorms in the afternoon.
He said weather conditions are expected to remain partly cloudy on April 11 and 12, with brief evening rain at a few places. The weather is likely to stay generally dry on April 13 and 14, followed by cloudy skies with light rain at isolated locations on April 15 and 16. Dry weather is expected again from April 17 to 20.
The department has advised farmers to resume agricultural activities, noting that maximum temperatures are likely to rise gradually by 4 to 6 degrees Celsius over the next six days.
