Man arrested with 4 grams of heroin at Ramban

Ramban, 25 Jul: Ramban Police Friday arrested a person and recovered four grams of contraband (Heroin) from his possession during a Naka Checking in Kunfer area of Chanderkote on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway on Friday.

An official said on the directions of SSP Ramban Kulbir Singh Ramban Police arrested a person and recovered heroin from his possession in Chanderkot.

The official said a Police team from Police Station Chanderkote while on Naka checking in Kunfer intercepted a Vehicle Eeco bearing registration No JK19A 5655 coming from Nashri side.

“During the process of checking 04 grams of heroin was recovered from the possession of Shoib Majid son of Abdual Majid resident of Dalwah, Sangaldan, Gool,” the official said.

He said the accused was arrested on spot.

“Police registered a case FIR No.40 of 2025 under relevant Sections of NDPS Act at Police Station Chanderkote,” he said. He said the investigation has been started to uncover the entire network of drug peddlers.
