SRINAGAR: Police in Pulwama area of South Kashmir have arrested an individual allegedly impersonating a police officer and extorting money from residents in the Kakpora area of the district.

The accused has been identified as Altaf Ahmad Dar, son of Assadullah Dar, a resident of Marval Kakpora. Authorities said Dar posed as an officer of the Special Operations Group (SOG), Srinagar, intimidating locals with threats of action while demanding money.
