Maintenance on Pahalgam Route, Yatra Diverted via Baltal Axis

SRINAGAR: The Shri Amarnathji Yatra will be allowed solely via the Baltal axis as repair and maintenance work has begun on the Pahalgam route after recent rainfall.

“Due to the recent heavy rains, urgent repair and maintenance works are required to be carried out on the Pahalgam Axis of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra route. The Yatra shall continue from the Baltal axis from 1st August onwards”, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Vijay Kumar Bidhuri said.

The Yatra from both the base camps (Baltal and Chandanwari/ Nunwan) had remained suspended due to heavy rains on July 30, 2025. So far, more than 3.93 lakh yatris have paid obeisance at the Holy Cave of Shri Amarnathji this year. (GNS)
