LG speaks to NC chief, assures thorough investigation

Srinagar, Mar 12: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday spoke to National Conference President Farooq Abdullah and assured that a thorough investigation would be conducted into an assassination attempt on him, sources said.

They said that LG directed Director General of Police (DGP) Nalin Prabhat to leave no stone unturned in getting to the bottom of the incident and to ensure that action followed swiftly.

The sources said that senior officials were firmly instructed to guarantee airtight security for protectees.
