LG Sinha suspends ADC Anantnag

Srinagar, Mar 30: Lieutenant Governor (LG) Manoj Sinha has placed Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Anantnag, Sundeep Singh Bali, under suspension with immediate effect pending an inquiry into his conduct, officials said on Monday.

According to Government Order No 507-JK(GAD) of 2026 dated March 30, the action was taken under Rule 31 of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1956.

“The LG has ordered the suspension of Sundeep Singh Bali, pending inquiry into his conduct,” the order issued by the General Administration Department (GAD) read.

It said that “during the period of suspension, the officer shall remain attached to the office of the Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir.”

Officials said the decision was approved by the LG and formally issued by the GAD.
