SRINAGAR: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday visited the border village of Changiya in Arnia, Jammu, and paid obeisance at the Daati Maa Dev Sthan of the Mahajan Phagetra Biradari. He prayed for the well-being of all, peace and prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir, and a safe Amarnath Yatra for all pilgrims.
During the visit, the Lieutenant Governor reiterated the Government of India’s commitment to the inclusive development of border areas and acknowledged the courage shown by residents during Operation Sindoor.
He said border villages serve as the first line of defence and highlighted the transformative impact of the Vibrant Villages Programme. He assured that the villages in this region would be considered under the scheme to enhance local infrastructure and connectivity.
Responding to local demands, LG Sinha announced that steps will be taken to bring the Daati Maa Dev Sthan onto the religious tourism map. He also appreciated the efforts of the Akhil Bharatiya Mahajan Phagetra Biradari for their contribution to the development of the shrine.
The visit was attended by Bishnah MLA Rajeev Kumar, Divisional Commissioner Jammu Ramesh Kumar, VHP President for J&K and Ladakh Rajesh Gupta, President of the Biradari Bharat Choudhary, and several local residents and dignitaries.
