The tribute was paid on the anniversary of the Parliament attack, commemorating the bravery of the security forces who foiled the terror strike and protected the country’s highest democratic institution.
On December 13, 2001, the Sansad Bhavan or the Indian Parliament complex was attacked by militants affiliated to the Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) and the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT). Fourteen people were killed in the attack including the five perpetrators.
