
SRINAGAR: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday inaugurated the Regional Business Centre of Jammu Kashmir Bank at the Rail Head Complex, Jammu, marking a key milestone in the Bank’s operational and infrastructure expansion strategy.
The Lieutenant Governor congratulated the entire team of JK Bank on the occasion and commended their efforts in strengthening the financial network of the Union Territory.
The newly established centre is set to function as a vital operational and administrative hub, designed to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency through modern infrastructure and improved customer interface areas. The integrated, technology-enabled facility aims to deepen market penetration, drive operational efficiency, and support the Bank’s vision of sustainable and inclusive expansion across regions.
Amitava Chatterjee, MD and CEO of JK Bank, highlighted the Bank’s strong financial performance, noting that its business has crossed Rs 2.90 lakh crore. He described the Regional Business Centre as not merely an expansion of physical infrastructure, but a decisive step toward strengthening the Bank’s business architecture in a key growth region.
The centre houses a currency chest, state-of-the-art branch, multiple departmental offices, and dedicated operational and administrative units, which will enable faster decision-making, improved coordination, and superior customer service.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by senior officials including Atal Dulloo, Chief Secretary; Mandeep K Bhandari, Principal Secretary to LG; Sudhir Gupta, Executive Director, K Bank; Directors RK Chhibber and Arun Gandotra; Bhim Sen Tuti, IGP Jammu; Chief General Managers, Divisional Heads, General Managers, and other senior officials of the Bank, Industries, and line departments.
The launch of the Regional Business Centre is expected to enhance JK Bank’s presence in the Jammu region and reinforce its commitment to modernizing banking infrastructure to meet evolving customer expectations and business requirements.
