LG Sinha Ensures Reconstruction of Homes Damaged in Kishtwar Cloudburst

SRINAGAR: Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, on Saturday said that the administration is ensuring immediate relief and uninterrupted essential supplies for the victims of the Kishtwar cloudburst while also promising reconstruction of the damaged houses.

Spoke to Senior Officials and took stock of the rescue and relief operations at Chashoti, Kishtwar. I will ensure the reconstruction of homes damaged in flash floods. I’ve also directed the senior officials for immediate relief & uninterrupted essential supplies to the affected.

In a post on X, the Office of the LG Jammu and Kashmir wrote, “Spoke to senior officials and took stock of the rescue and relief operations at Chashoti, Kishtwar. I will ensure the reconstruction of homes damaged in flash floods. I have also directed the senior officials for immediate relief and uninterrupted essential supplies to the affected.”

Rescue and relief operations are continuing in the affected areas with the joint efforts of the district administration, Army, police, and SDRF. Authorities have assured that every possible step is being taken to provide support to the victims of the tragedy.
